More teachers turn to Support Network for help21 Jul 2008More teachers and education professionals turned to the Teacher Support Network Group for assistance between April and June than during the same time last year, the charity has reported.
Statistics from their second quarterly report of 2008 show that the Group experienced 26,569 interactions with users during the three-month period, compared to 22,817 the same time last year and 23,032 between January and March 2008.

Teacher Support Cymru concerned by attacks on Welsh teachers09 Jul 2008On Tuesday, the Welsh Conservatives revealed that the number of exclusions for attacks on teachers has almost doubled in four years.
According to the latest available figures, there were 982 exclusions owing to assault or violence in 2006, compared with 514 in 2003.
Responding to the figures, Teacher Support Cymru Chief Executive Patrick Nash said: "This is a very worrying development for Welsh teachers. Such attacks can have a devastating effect on both the emotional wellbeing and professional confidence of its victims.
